Box Score MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils were knocked off by Misericordia, 65-49, in Freedom Conference action on Saturday afternoon.

With the loss, the Devils dropped to 7-8 (1-3 Freedom) while the Cougars improved to 5-7 (3-1 Freedom).

The two teams went back-and-forth for the first 13:00 of the contest with the game tied at 15-15.  That's when Misericordia closed the half with an 8-0 run to grab a 23-15 halftime advantage.

The Cougars came out hot to start the second half, opening with 25-12 run to grab a 48-27 lead with 6:40 to go in the game.  FDU cut it to to 10, 54-44, with 1:58 remaining after a three-pointer from freshman guard Leigh-Ann Lively but that was as close as they would get as the Cougars hit their free throws down the stretch to pick up the win.

Freshman forward Kyra Dayon had 15 points, seven steals and five assists for FDU while junior guard Tasza Carter added 13 points and four steals off the bench.

The Devils return to action on Wednesday, January 18, 2011, at Eastern beginning at 6 pm.
