Box Score MADISON, NJ - Senior guard Adam Katz poured in a game-high 19 points to go along with four assists to lead the College at Florham Devils to a 70-61 win over Misericordia in Freedom Conference action on Saturday afternoon.

With the win, the Devils improved to 8-7 (3-1 Freedom) while the Cougars dropped to 9-6 (1-3 Freedom).

After the Cougars jumped out to a 13-7 lead with 11:32 remaining in the first half, the Devils ripped off a 23-9 run over the next eleven minutes to take a 30-22 lead with 0:05 to play in the half.  Junior guard Ardell Roberts pumped in nine points in the run.  FDU looked to take that eight point advantage into halftime but the Cougars sank a buzzer-beating three-pointer from half court to make it 30-25 at intermission.

Misericordia came out to begin the second half and cut the FDU lead to four, 35-31, just four minutes and Devils had only a five-point edge, 48-43, with 7:40 to go in the game.  That's when the Devils ran off a 7-0 run over the next 2:30 to take a 55-43 lead thanks to five points from Katz.  The Cougars made one last push, closing to 64-57 with 0:56 to go, but FDU sank six-of-eight free throws down the stretch to seal the 70-61 victory.

Roberts finished with 12 points and six boards off the bench while sophomore forward Will Green also tallied 12 points and six rebounds.  Sophomore forward Andrew Stress added 10 points, five rebounds and three assists while junior forward Derek Hall recorded seven points and a game-high 10 rebounds.

The Devils return to action on Wednesday, January 18, 2011, at Eastern beginning at 8 pm.
