MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils opened their Freedom Conference schedule in grand fashion on Friday evening, holding off Wilkes by a score of 1-0 in overtime.

With the win, the Devils improved to 5-6 (1-0 Freedom) while the Colonels dropped to 1-6 (0-2 Freedom).

In a game statistically dominated by the Devils, the two teams played to a draw in regulation.  With 9:32 gone by in the overtime, senior defender Sara Chauvette converted a feed from senior forward Lauren Guenther to give the Devils the win.  FDU held a 24-9 edge in shots and a 14-6 advantage in penalty corners.

Sophomore goalkeeper Tess Loughran picked up the win, making five saves.

The Devils return to action on Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at Kean beginning at 7:30 pm.
