ANNVILLE, PA - Senior defender Stefanie Sanzari was named the Middle Atlantic Conference Women's Lacrosse Scholar Athlete on Thursday morning. The highest honor in the conference, the award is equal parts athletics and academics.
A four-year starter on defense for the FDU-Florham Devils, she was named Second Team All-Middle Atlantic Conference in 2008 and 2010 and Second Team All-Boardwalk Region in 2010. A Quest/Psychology major with a cumulative 3.78 GPA, Sanzari was also a three-time member of the Middle Atlantic Conference All-Academic Team. Sanzari is also a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and helps coach the Madison girls youth lacrosse team while also serving as a tutor for middle school kids.
