MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils overcame a sluggish start to beat King's, 20-6, in Middle Atlantic Conference action on Monday afternoon.
With the win, the Devils improved to 4-3 (3-1 MAC) while the Monarchs dropped to 1-4 (0-3 MAC).
FDU scored the first three goals of the game, with two coming by junior midfielder
Breana Kilpatrick, but King's scored the next two goals to cut it to 3-2 with 23:39 left in the first half. FDU scored the next three to increase their lead to 6-2 but the Monarchs scored two more to get to within 6-4 with 11:23 to go. That's when the Devils turned it on though, scoring five of the last six goals of the half to take an 11-5 lead into intermission. Sophomore attack
Jennie Jones scored three goals in the run.
The Devils opened the second half by scoring the first eight goals to put the game away. Senior midfielder
Lindsey Parent scored four of the eight goals.
Jones finished the game with five goals while Parent had four goals and an assist. Kilpatrick, senior midfielder

Kelsey Johnson each scored three goals while senior attack
Sara Franckowiak tallied a goal and three assists. Freshman goalkeeper
Ashley Smith started and picked up the win, making four saves.
The Devils return to action on Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at Widener beginning at 4 pm.
