WILKES-BARRE, PA - Leading 37-31 at halftime, King's opened up the second half with a 19-7 run to take a 56-38 lead on their way to a 90-66 victory over the College at Florham Devils in Freedom Conference action on Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, the Devils dropped to 4-17 (2-8 Freedom) while the Monarchs improved to 13-8 (5-5 Freedom).
It was a back-and-forth battle for the first nine minutes of the game with the Devils holding a 20-19 edge with 11:17 left in the first half. King's had a 26-24 lead with 4:22 to go after a jumper by junior guard
Adam Katz but the Monarchs then went on a 10-2 run to grab a 36-26 lead with 1:30 remaining. The Devils were able to trim the deficit to six points, 37-31, at the half after two free throws from Katz with 0:02 left.
King's really turned it on to begin the second half, going on the aforementioned 19-7 run to take a 56-38 advantage with 14:40 left. The Devils got back to within 10, 58-48, after a three-pointer from Katz with 11:39 to go but that's when the Monarchs really put the hammer down, ripping off a 30-11 run to put the game out of reach.

Will Green pulled down seven boards apiece.
The Devils return to action on Wednesday, February 9, 2011, at home against Manhattanville beginning at 8 pm.
