Box Score UNION, NJ - Despite a team-high 26 points from junior guard
Tasza Carter, the College at Florham Devils were defeated by Kean, 83-67, in non-conference action on Tuesday evening.
With the loss, the Devils dropped to 2-2.
Kean jumped out to a 16-7 lead with just under five minutes gone by in the first half but the Devils responded with a 23-6 run over the next nine minutes to grab a 30-22 advantage with 6:36 left in the half. During the run, eight different players scored for the Devils. The Cougars responded though, closing the half on 13-3 run to take a 35-33 lead into halftime.
The Cougars came out hot to start the second half, opening with a 14-2 run to grab a 49-35 lead with 14:58 left in the game. After FDU cut the deficit to nine points, 53-44, Kean went on another run, this time a 10-1 outburst, to grab a 63-45 lead with 8:40 remaining. The Devils weren't done though, as Carter scored eight points in the next three minutes to help FDU to close to 65-57 with 5:32 to go. The deficit was still at eight, 71-63, with 3:31 remaining when Kean closed the game 12-4 run to earn the win.

Kara Dayon each added 11 points and eight rebounds.
The Devils return to action on Friday, November 25, 2011, in the Colorado College Tournament against Washington and Lee beginning at 7 pm mountain time and 9 pm eastern time.
