Box Score MADISON, NJ - Despite 24 points and 12 rebounds from sophomore forward
Will Green, the College at Florham Devils dropped their season opener to Brooklyn by a score of 68-59 on Tuesday evening.
With the loss, the Devils are 0-1 on the season.
After a three-pointer from senior guard
Adam Katz, the 1,000th point of his career, made it 16-14 in favor of Brooklyn, the Bulldogs went on a 12-6 run to grab a 28-20 lead with 2:24 left in the first half. The Devils came right back though and closed the half with a 7-2 run to pull to within 30-27 at intermission. Green had all seven points in the half-closing spurt.
Brooklyn came out and took command early in the second half, opening with a 17-7 run to take a 47-34 advantage with 12:43 to go in the game. FDU cut it to seven points, 58-51, with 2:17 remaining but the Bulldogs made the majority of their free throws down the stretch to seal the win.

Derek Hall pulled down a game-high 15 rebounds while sophomore guard
Andrew Stress and
Trevor Sykes finished with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
The Devils return to action on Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at Stevens beginning at 8 pm.
