MADISON, NJ - In a battle of Madison Avenue, the College at Florham Devils beat Drew by a score of 2-1 in non-conference action on Thursday evening.

With the win, the Devils improved to 6-7.

Drew got on the board first, at the 16:01 mark, but the Devils came right back and tied it at 1-1 when senior forward Lauren Guenther converted a pass from junior midfielder Kelsey Kistle off of a penalty corner as time expired in the first half.  It didn't take the Devils long to get the game-winner in the second half, as senior midfielder Megan Springmeyer knocked home a pass from sophomore midfielder Lanie Andrews with just 3:02 gone by.  Drew held a 15-9 edge in shots and a 12-5 advantage in penalty corners but FDU held the advantage where it counts and came away with the victory.

Sophomore goalkeeper Tess Loughran picked up the win, making six saves.

The Devils return to action on Saturday, October 8, 2011, at DeSales beginning at 2 pm.
