MADISON, NJ - In a battle of two of the top teams in the Freedom Conference, the College at Florham Devils earned a huge victory over Eastern, 2-1, in overtime on Thursday evening.
With the win, the Devils improved to 9-8 (4-1 Freedom) while the Eagles dropped to 7-8 (4-1 Freedom).
The Devils jumped out to a 1-0 lead with 4:28 left in the first half when junior midfielder
Corey VanOrden knocked home a shot in a scramble off of a penalty corner. Eastern wasn't down for long though, as the Eagles tied it at 1-1 with 8:57 gone by in the second stanza.
