WILKES-BARRE, PA - The College at Florham Devils were knocked off by Wilkes, 67-53, in Freedom Conference action on Saturday afternoon.

With the loss, the Devils dropped to 3-15 (1-7 Freedom) while the Colonels improved to 11-7 (4-4 Freedom).

Both teams got off the slow starts as Wilkes led, 8-7, with 7:46 gone by in the first half.  FDU grabbed an 11-10 lead after a layup by sophomore forward Derek Hall but the Colonels responded with an 8-0 run to grab an 18-11 advantage with 8:15 to go.  After the Devils cut it to four, 20-16, Wilkes closed the half with an 18-6 run to take a 38-22 lead into intermission.

Wilkes increased its lead to 44-24 in the early stages of the second half but the Devils didn't quit and ripped off 19-9 run to close to within 53-43 with 7:45 to go thanks to seven points from freshman forward Matt Argudo and six points from freshman forward Will Green.  FDU was still within 10, 63-53, with 2:22 to play but the Devils went cold from the field and couldn't score another point as Wilkes picked up the 67-53 win.

Green and Argudo were bright spots for the Devils off the bench as Green finished with 12 points and six rebounds while Argudo added 10 points and three boards.  Sophomore guard Alex Rosario tallied eight points and six rebounds.

The Devils return to action on Monday, January 31, 2011, at City Tech beginning at 6 pm.
