MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils were beaten by #6 Eastern, 3-0 (25-17, 25-14, 25-10) in Freedom Conference action on Wednesday evening.

With the loss, the Devils dropped to 15-6 (1-2 Freedom) while the Eagles improved to 16-1 (3-0 Freedom).

Sophomore outside hitter Chelsea Hoeffler (Cranford, NJ/Cranford) led FDU with six kills while senior setter Kerry Kuperman (Scottsdale, AZ/Chaparral) added 18 assists.  Senior defender Rachel Highley (New Holland, PA/Garden Spot) notched 18 digs while junior libero Marta Matera (East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick) tallied 13 digs.

The Devils return to action on Saturday, October 2, 2010, in the Freedom/Commonwealth Crossover at Messiah.  FDU will take on Widener at 10 am and Messiah at 1 pm.
