ST. DAVID'S, PA - Junior midfielder Lindsey Parent (Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) scored on a free position shot in the final seconds of overtime to give the College at Florham Devils a 17-16 win over Eastern in Middle Atlantic Conference action on Tuesday afternoon.  The win clinched the third seed in the upcoming MAC Tournament.

With the win, the Devils improved to 11-5 (9-2 MAC) while the Eagles dropped to 8-8 (6-4 MAC).

FDU started the game extremely sluggish, falling behind by a score of 7-2 with 11:25 left in the first half.  The Devils responded though, with four of the next five goals to cut their deficit to 8-6 with 3:58 to go.  Senior attack Linda Bohn (Vernon, NJ/Vernon Township) scored two goals in the run.  After Eastern made it 8-6, Parent and Bohn scored the last two goals of the half to make the score 9-8 in favor of the Eagles heading into intermission.

Eastern scored first in the second half to take a 10-8 advantage but Parent and senior attack Kristen Schuster (Centereach, NY/Centereach)scored back-to-back goals to tie the game at 10-10 with 19:43 left in regulation.  The teams kept going back-and-forth for the next nine minutes and the game was tied at 14-14 with 10:23 to go after Bohn scored for the Devils.  FDU then took their first lead of the game when Schuster and junior midfielder Erika Depelteau (West Windsor, NJ/West Windsor-Plainsboro North) tallied goals to make it 16-14 with 7:30 left.  Eastern didn't quit though, coming back to score the last two goals to send it into overtime.

Both teams had chances to get on the board in overtime but neither could get the advantage until Parent scored late to win it for FDU.

Bohn and Parent each finished the game with five goals while Schuster added three goals.  Junior goalkeeper Kelly Butler (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) picked up the win, making 11 saves.

The Devils return to action on Saturday, May 1, 2010, with their regular season finale at home against Lebanon Valley on Senior Day beginning at 1 pm.
