WILKES-BARRE, PA - Junior midfielder
Lindsey Parent (Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) had three goals and one assist to lead the College at Florham Devils to a 20-4 win over King's in Freedom Conference action on Tuesday afternoon. The second of Parent's three goals was the 100th of her career.
FDU scored the first eight goals of the game, with three coming from senior attack
Kristen Schuster (Centereach, NY/Centereach), before King's got on the board with 18:05 left in the first half. The Devils then scored four out of the last five goals of the half to take a 12-2 lead at halftime.
The Devils opened the second stanza by tallying five of the first six goals, two coming from freshman midfielder
Samantha Savona (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Liberty), to put the game out of reach.
Schuster finished the game with five goals and an assist while freshman attack
Jennie Jones (Basking Ridge, NJ/Academy of St. Elizabeth) had four goals and three assists. Parent, Savona and junior midfielder
Sara Franckowiak (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central) each had three goals. Junior goalkeeper
Kelly Butler (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater) picked up the win, starting and playing the first half while making one save.
The Devils return to action on Saturday, April 24, 2010, at home against Elizabethtown beginning at 1 pm.
