GRANTHAM, PA - Despite four goals from senior attack
Kristen Schuster (Centereach, NY/Centereach), the College at Florham Devils were knocked off by Messiah, 12-9, in Middle Atlantic Conference action on Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, the Devils dropped to 9-4 (7-1 MAC) while the Falcons improved to 9-3 (7-1 MAC).
FDU got the scoring started with a goal by junior midfielder
Lindsey Parent (Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) with 5:49 gone by in the first half but Messiah responded by scoring three of the next four goals to grab a 3-2 lead with 15:18 left. Schuster then scored three in a row herself to give FDU a 5-3 advantage but the Falcons tallied two of the last three goals of the half to cut FDU's halftime lead to 6-5.
Messiah went up 8-7 to start the second half by scoring three of the first four goals. FDU tied it at 8-8 on a goal by freshman midfielder
Samantha Savona (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Liberty) with 16:05 left to play. The Falcons inched back ahead with a goal at the 12:36 mark but the Devils tied it at 9-9 just 0:22 later on a goal by junior midfielder
Erika Depelteau (West Windsor, NJ/West Windsor-Plainsboro North). Unfortunately for FDU, Messiah closed the game by scoring the final three goals to earn the 12-9 win.

Ashley Schlindwein (Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) while junior goalkeeper
Kelly Butler (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater) suffered the loss, making 14 saves.
