MADISON, NJ - Senior forward Danielle Michlovsky (Wind Gap, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) had 18 points and seven rebounds to lead the College at Florham Devils to a 49-43 win over Eastern in Freedom Conference action on Tuesday evening.  In the process, Michlovsky became FDU's All-Time leader in career rebounds with 843 surpassing the mark of 839 set by Ashley Flaherty (2002-06).

With the win, the Devils improved to 11-12 (5-7 Freedom) while the Eagles dropped to 6-16 (0-12 Freedom).

Eastern started the game strong, getting out to a 12-3 lead with 8:35 gone by in the first half.  FDU responded with a 12-0 run to take a 15-12 advantage with 5:09 remaining in the half.  The Eagles then came back to grab an 18-15 lead before FDU closed the half with a 9-3 run to take a 24-21 edge into intermission.

FDU increased their lead to six points on two different occasions in the first 9:30 of the second stanza but held only a 38-36 lead with 6:30 to play.  That's when they went on an 8-2 run to grab a 46-38 lead with 2:20 to go thanks to five points from Michlovsky.  After Eastern cut it to six points on a pair of free throws, junior forward Shealyn Taggart (Atlantic Highlands, NJ/Middletown South) converted an old-fashioned three-point play to put the game away with 1:36 left.  Neither team scored again until Eastern fired in a three-pointer with 0:19 left but it was too little too late.

Taggart finished the game with 16 points and nine rebounds to help the Devils to the win.

The Devils return to action on Thursday, February 18, 2010, at Manhattanville beginning at 6 pm.
