MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils had a 21-15 halftime lead but Drew came back in the second half to beat the Devils, 49-46, in a battle of cross-town rivals on Tuesday evening.

With the loss, the Devils dropped to 6-2 while the Rangers improved to 5-1.

The Rangers held a 6-5 lead early in the game but the Devils then went on a 12-2 run to grab a 17-8 advantage with 7:13 left in the first half thanks to seven points from senior forward Shealyn Taggart.  Drew was able to cut it to 19-15 with 1:51 to go but FDU got the last bucket of the half on a layup by freshman guard Brianna Nicholls with 0:12 remaining.

FDU came out and started the second half just like they wanted to, opening with a 6-0 run to take a 27-15 lead but Drew came right back by ripping off a 17-7 run to close their deficit to 34-32 with 10:04 to go in the game.  After FDU got their lead back to five, 39-34, on an old-fashioned three-point play by Nicholls, Drew went on a 15-4 run to take a 49-43 lead with 0:05 left in the game.  The Devils got a three-pointer on their final possession but it was too late, allowing Drew to get the victory.

Taggart finished with a team-high 17 points and a game-high 14 rebounds while Nicholls had six points and six boards.

The Devils return to action on Monday, December 27, 2010, in the San Diego Surf 'N Slam Tournament against George Fox beginning at 8 pm eastern, 5 pm pacific.
