Megan Springmeyer (Washington, NJ/Warren Hills) scored two goals to lead the College at Florham Devils to a 3-2 victory over DeSales in Freedom Conference action on Saturday afternoon. Currently, the Devils are tied for fourth in the Freedom Conference but will need a win on Tuesday and other help to qualify for the upcoming Freedom Conference Tournament.
With the win, FDU improved to 9-9 (3-3 Freedom) while the Bulldogs dropped to 7-10 (1-5 Freedom).
DeSales jumped out to an early 1-0 lead as the Bulldogs scored just 3:52 into the contest. Springmeyer then tied the game at 1-1 at the 11:34 mark when she knocked home a penalty shot. FDU then took the lead, 2-1, only 2:59 into the second half when
Kelsey Kistle (Sandyston, NJ/Kittatinny) converted. Springmeyer made it 3-1 in favor of FDU with 21:10 left in the game as she knocked home a pass from junior forward
Lauren Guenther (Wall, NJ/St. Rose). The Bulldogs crept to within one, 3-2, with 9:45 to go but the Devils wouldn't allow them any closer as they kept their conference tournament hopes alive.

Tess Loughran (Newton, NJ/Newton) earned the win, making five saves.
The Devils return to action on Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at home against Manhattanville beginning at 7 pm.
