WILKES-BARRE, PA - The College at Florham Devils knocked off Wilkes, 1-0, in Freedom Conference action on Saturday evening.
With the win, the Devils improved to 5-6 (1-1 Freedom) while the Colonels dropped to 4-4 (0-2 Freedom).
The two squads played even in the first but the Devils finally got on the board with 17:03 left in the contest when junior forward
Victoria Nedo (Rockaway, NJ/Morris Hills) converted a pass from sophomore midfielder
Lauren Guenther (Wall, NJ/St. Rose). Wilkes actually held a 16-9 advantage in shots and a 14-10 edge in penalty corners but the Devils came away with the victory.
Freshman goalkeeper
Tess Loughran (Newton, NJ/Newton) was phenominal in goal, making nine saves to earn the shutout.
The Devils return to action on Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at home against Kean beginning at 7 pm.
