BOSTON, MA - The College at Florham Devils were defeated by Emerson, 3-0 (25-10, 25-13, 25-20), before knocking off Salve Regina by a score of 3-0 (25-15, 28-26, 25-17) in the second and final day of the Emerson/Wentworth Tournament on Saturday afternoon.
With the split, the Devils now stand at 4-2.
Emerson - Junior setter
Kerry Kuperman (Scottsdale, AZ/Chaparral) led the Devils with 15 assists while junior libero
Rachel Highley (New Holland, PA/Garden Spot) added 14 digs.
Salve Regina - Highley had 24 digs while Kuperman had 22 assists to lead the Devils to the win. Sophomore outside hitter
Katlyn Mullane (San Antonio, TX/Warren) finished with nine kills and 12 digs to go along with eight kills from senior outside hitter
Meghan Droge (North Merrick, NY/Kellenberg).
The Devils return to action on Wednesday, September 9, 2009, at home against Scranton beginning at 7 pm.
