SELINSGROVE, PA - The College at Florham Devils went 1-3 at the Susquehanna Tournament this weekend, beating Wilkes before being defeated by St. Mary's (MD), Susquehanna and Franklin & Marshall.
With the results from this weekend, the Devils are now 13-7.
WILKES - FDU beat Wilkes, 3-0 (25-15, 25-15, 25-17). Senior right side
Meghan Droge (North Merrick, NY/Kellenberg) led the way with 12 kills while junior setter
Kerry Kuperman (Scottsdale, AZ/Chaparral) had 20 assists. Sophomore libero
Marta Matera (East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick) had 18 digs, sophomore outside hitter
Katlyn Mullane (San Antonio, TX/Warren) had 17 digs, junior defensive specialist
Marcie Schlanger (New City, NY/Clarkstown South) had 10 digs, and freshman setter
Nicole Weissert (Bay Shore, NY/Bay Shore) had 10 assists.
ST. MARY'S (MD) - The Devils were knocked off, 3-0 (25-17, 25-20, 25-19). Junior middle hitter
Lauren Brazier (Stony Brook, NY/Ward Melville) had 10 kills while Kuperman had 27 assists. Matera had 24 digs, Mullane had 20 digs and eight kills, Schlanger had 15 digs and junior outside hitter
Patty Manhart (Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough) had 11 digs.
SUSQUEHANNA - FDU was defeated by a score of 3-1 (26-24, 18-25, 25-15, 25-20). Brazier finished with 11 kills while Kuperman had 35 assists and 12 digs. Manhart had nine kills and 11 digs, Mullane had eight kills and 12 digs, Matera had 27 digs and Schlanger had 16 digs.
FRANKLIN & MARSHALL - The Devils were downed by a count of 3-0 (25-22, 25-12, 25-12). Matera had 14 digs, Kuperman had 12 assists and Manhart had 11 digs.
The Devils return to action on Wednesday, September 30, 2009, at Eastern beginning at 7 pm.
