MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils were defeated by King's, 4-2, in the Freedom Conference opener for both teams on Saturday evening.

With the loss, the Devils dropped to 2-7 (0-1 Freedom) while the Monarchs improved to 5-3 (1-0 Freedom).

King's started the scoring just 5:30 into the game and made it 2-0 at the 13:58 mark.  FDU cut it to 2-1 when junior midfielder Ellen Siracuse (Kingston, PA/Wyoming Valley West) scored off a pass from junior forward Lauren Fabrizio (Bridgewater, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) only 2:48 into the second half but the Monarchs responded by scoring the next two goals to grab a 4-1 advantage with 12:26 left in the game.  The Devils made it 4-2 when Fabrizio scored off a pass from freshman midfielder Kelsey Kistle (Sandyston, NJ/Kittatinny) with 5:40 remaining but the Devils couldn't get any closer allowing King's to pick up the win.

Freshman goalkeeper Meghan O'Neil (Highlands, NJ/Henry Hudson) made eight saves in the defeat.
