MADISON, NJ - The College at Florham Devils knocked off Rutgers-Camden, 3-0 (25-8, 25-19, 25-22), Ramapo, 3-1 (25-15, 21-25, 25-14, 26-24), and Cedar Crest, 3-0 (25-13, 25-20, 25-13), in the Devils Quad on Saturday afternoon.
With the sweep, the Devils improved to 11-4.
RUTGERS-CAMDEN - Junior middle hitter
Lauren Brazier (Stony Brook, NY/Ward Melville) had 11 kills, junior setter
Kerry Kuperman (Scottsdale, AZ/Chaparral) had 20 assists, and sophomore libero
Marta Matera (East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick) finished with 13 digs in the win.
RAMAPO - Sophomore outside hitter
Katlyn Mullane (San Antonio, TX/Warren) led the way with 13 kills and 15 digs while Brazier added 12 kills of her own. Junior outside hitter
Patty Manhart (Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough) had 11 kills, Kuperman recorded 51 assists and 10 digs, Matera ended up with 22 digs, and junior setter
Marcie Schlanger (New City, NY/Clarkstown South) had 15 digs.
CEDAR CREST - Sophomore outside hitter
Sabrina Barone (Montvale, NJ/Pascack Hills) had five kills, freshman setter
Nicole Weissert (Bay Shore, NY/Bay Shore) had 11 assists and junior libero
Rachel Highley (New Holland, PA/Garden Spot) totaled 15 digs for FDU.
The Devils return to action on Tuesday, September 22, 2009, in Freedom Conference action at home against Misericordia beginning at 7 pm.
