ALLENTOWN, PA - The College at Florham Devils defeated Muhlenberg, 3-0 (25-23, 25-18, 26-24), before losing to York (PA), 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 25-21), on the first day of the Muhlenberg Buttermaker Tournament on Friday evening.

With the split, the Devils now stand at 6-3

Against Muhlenberg, FDU scored the last six points of the third game to turn a 24-20 deficit into a 26-24 victory.  Junior middle hitter Lauren Brazier (Stony Brook, NY/Ward Melville) finished with 10 kills while junior outside hitter Patty Manhart (Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough) added nine kills.  Junior setter Kerry Kuperman (Scottsdale, AZ/Chaparral) had 35 assists, sophomore libero Marta Matera (East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick) had 26 digs and sophomore outside hitter Katlyn Mullane (San Antonio, TX/Warren) finished with eight kills and 10 digs.

The Devils return to action on Saturday, September 12, 2009, on the second and final day of the tournament against Neumann beginning at 12 pm and against a team to be determined at 3 pm.
