MADISON, NJ - Senior forward Danielle Michlovsky (Wind Gap, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) had 23 points and six rebounds to lead the College at Florham Devils to a 66-61 win over Delaware Valley in the Freedom Conference opener for both teams on Wednesday evening.

With the win, the Devils improved to 4-4 (1-0 Freedom) while the Aggies dropped to 3-3 (0-1 Freedom).

After a slow start to the game, FDU opened up a 16-9 lead with 7:02 left in the first half.  The Devils held a 22-15 edge with 4:25 to go but the Aggies were able to cut it to 26-22 by halftime.

The Devils opened their lead back up to nine, 31-22, in the early stages of the second half but the Aggies went on a 9-1 run to pull to within 32-31 with 15:47 to go.  FDU slowly built the lead back to eight, 50-42, with 8:24 remaining but Del Val responded again, this time with an 8-0 run that tied the game at 50-50 with 6:25 to play.  It was FDU's turn again, as they opened up a 62-55 lead with 0:49 left and the Devils thought they were safe but the Aggies responded one last time and closed the gap to 62-60 with 0:31 to go.  The Devils went 4-for-6 from the foul line down the stretch and that proved to be enough to earn their first conference win.

Sophomore forward Matil Mangual (Westbury, NY/Clarke) finished with nine points and eight rebounds while freshman guard Gabrielle Hunsberger (Royersford, PA/Spring-Ford) had 12 big points off the bench.

The Devils return to action on Friday, December 4, 2009, at Wilkes beginning at 7 pm.
