WILKES-BARRE, PA - The College at Florham Devils were defeated by Wilkes, 1-0, in the Freedom Conference opener for both teams on Saturday afternoon.

With the loss, the Devils dropped to 7-4 (0-1 Freedom) while the Colonels improved to 5-5 (1-0 Freedom).

After a scoreless first half, the lone goal of the game came at the 61:59 mark.  The Devils had a few chances down the stretch but could not convert allowing the Colonels to get the win.

Junior goalkeeper Kevin Herbert (Whippany, NJ/Whippany Park) made five saves in net.

The Devils return to action on Monday, October 5, 2009, at home against cross-town rival Drew beginning at 7 pm.
