MADISON, NJ - Sophomore forward
Lauren Guenther (Wall, NJ/St. Rose) knocked in a pass from senior forward
Alex DeVito (Wayside, NJ/Ocean Twp.) just 3:58 into overtime to give the College at Florham Devils a 2-1 win over DeSales on Sunday evening.
With the win, the Devils improved to 6-12 (2-4 Freedom) while the Bulldogs dropped to 6-11 (0-5 Freedom).
DeSales got on the board first, taking a 1-0 lead, with 11:41 left in the first half. The Devils though, responded immediately by tying the game at 1-1 just 2:30 later on a goal by freshman forward
Kelsey Kistley (Sandyston, NJ/Kittatinny). The game stayed that way throughout the remainder of the first half and for the entire second half before Guenther's heroics in overtime.
Freshman goalkeeper
Meghan O'Neil (Highlands, NJ/Henry Hudson) made six saves in the win.
The Devils return to action on Tuesday, October 27, 2009, with their final game of the season at Manhattanville beginning at 4 pm.
