CAREER WRITE-UP
Coach Poz joined the Devils staff in 2023 season after his four year stint as the Head Coach at Arthur L. Johnson High School where his teams were able to rebuild the program and get back into the top ten rankings in the Union County Conference during the season for three out of four years. Prior to Johnson, Coach was on staff with three of New Jersey’s top basketball programs.
While at St. Mary’s, their team was ranked in the top twenty in the state and top five in the Union County Conference. Rutgers Prep was also ranked in the top twenty of the state and top five of the Skyland Conference while also winning the 2014 Skyland Conference Delaware Division title.
During his time at Linden, the Tigers won back to back Group IV NJ State Championships, reached the Tournament of Champions final in 2016, Tournament of Champions semi-final in 2017, were ranked as high as two in the state (15-16,16-17 seasons), and they were ranked as high as eleven in the 2016 USA Today national rankings
