CAREER WRITE-UP
Andy Fleurantin started his first year as an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at FDU in 2020. A former guard for Coach Slanovec, Fleurantin works specifically with FDU’s guards.

Prior to beginning his college coaching career at FDU, Fleurantin spent two seasons playing under Head Coach Jeff Slanovec. A dynamic guard, he helped revitalize Devils Basketball in his two seasons on the court in Madison, NJ. Fleurantin saw action in 49 games in his two years, making 46 starts. He averaged over 15 points per game while shooting over 40% from three and over 75% from the free throw line.

Fleurantin’s senior season will go down as one of the best in FDU history for a guard and maybe the best shooting season in program history. As a team, the Devils, picked last of the conference’s eight teams in the preseason poll, finished fourth, securing the program’s most wins in a season and first MAC Freedom playoff berth since 2013-14. Individually, Fleurantin was a First Team All MAC Freedom Conference selection and was selected as the Men’s Basketball MVP. The captain averaged more than 18 points per game with 51/45/76 shooting splits. His 69 made threes ranks third in program history for Three Point Field Goals Made in a single season. More than just a shooter though, Fleurantin finished in the top 5 in the MAC Freedom in scoring, assists, assist to turnover ratio and steals. Fleurantin was named the FDU Robert T. Shields Male Athlete of the Year at the Devils Athletics End of the Year Banquet.
