In May 2018, Palm attended the USA Swimming National Diversity Select Camp at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Spring, Colorado. Palm also has coached on the club level, having a swimmer achieve Scholastic All-American accolades.

During the 2017-2018 season, Molly Miller and Bohdan Semak became the first two swimmers in school history to qualify for the ECAC Championships, as the team broke 23 school records. Both the men and women's teams finished eighth at the MAC Championships.
