Maria Grant is currently the Director of Girls North for Building Blocks Lacrosse Club and is the Head Girls Lacrosse Coach for Ramapo High School.
Maria has coached with Syracuse University, Rutgers University and Vassar College. While coaching at the collegiate level, Grant’s teams achieved top 15 National rankings. She coached All Americans, Regional All Americans as well as All Big East Conference Players. Coach Maria was a four-year varsity letter winner for both field hockey and lacrosse at Rutgers University. For Rutgers lacrosse, she was both team captain and MVP during her senior year, while earning First Team All-American honors, leading the nation in saves and save percentage during that campaign. While playing field hockey, she was a two-time Regional All-American and Most Valuable Defensive Player while leading Rutgers to the NCAA quarterfinals and serving as a member of the USA National Squad.
Maria has coached at the high school, middle school, and youth levels. She served as President of the Hunterdon Mohawks Girls and Boys Youth Lacrosse program and under her leadership the club was the first youth organization in the United States to earn the Gold Stick Award from US Lacrosse for best practice, best safety, and best lacrosse experience in 2016.
