Donny Bellamy

Donny Bellamy joined FDU-Florham Devils athletics in 2024 and brings over a decade of collegiate coaching experience with a focus on hurdles and jumps. Prior to joining FDU, Bellamy spent seven seasons at New Jersey City University and two at Ramapo College, where he helped develop numerous championship-level athletes.

Since arriving at FDU-Florham, Bellamy has played a key role in elevating the program. Under his guidance, student-athletes have broken multiple school records across both men's and women's events, including the 60m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 4x100m relay, and high jump. He attributes these successes to a combination of athlete dedication, technical precision, and a team-first culture.

Bellamy's coaching journey began at the grassroots level, working with the Jaguars and Comets Track Clubs, and later at the high school level where he served as head coach at Snyder High School. Across all levels, his athletes have earned national titles and All-American honors in events ranging from the 800m to the high jump.

One career highlight includes coaching a Division III 4x100m relay team to a historic 39.95 finish at the 2006 Penn Relays—a time that still stands as a program record.

A former standout athlete himself, Bellamy competed for Rutgers University and earned Second Team All-Big East recognition. He also holds a Masters Level Certification as a Track & Field Official with USA Track & Field.
