Bobby Sheppard joins the Devils Coaching Staff after one year as the Director of Baseball Operations at Division 1 Seton Hall University. Coach Sheppard will be our Infield and First Base Coach along with being our Director of Analytics.

While on staff for the Pirates, he aided in a bounce back campaign, cultivating in a
Big East Tournament appearance, and a record of 31-24. 2023 was SHU’s highest win total since 2016; as a result the staff earned Big East Coaching Staff of the Year accolades.

Coach Sheppard was an infielder for the Pirates from 2019-2022, where he was a four-time All-Big East Academic Team selection. Prior to his time with Seton Hall, he played at New Jersey powerhouse, Seton Hall Prep.

Coach Sheppard is part of a long-line of New Jersey baseball royalty with his grandfather Mike Sheppard, Sr., grandmother Phyllis Sheppard, uncle Mike Sheppard, Jr. and uncle Ed Blankmeyer all members of the Seton Hall Athletics Hall of Fame. He is the son of current Seton Hall Head Baseball Coach, Rob Sheppard.
