MADISON, N.J. - The FDU-Florham Devils women's soccer team opened their season on home turf as they took on the Penn State Abington Lions. The Devils dominated from start to finish, shutting out the Lions, 6-0!

Devils HighlightsÂ
- The Devils made a statement in their home opener, dominating Penn State Abington with six unanswered goals for a 6-0 shutout victory.
- Selena Rivera, Leila Duffie, and Anna Kotaska each found the back of the net twice, powering the Devils' offensive attack. Chelsea Gross, Reena Hamouda, and Duffie each contributed an assist in the dominant performance.
- Kotaska capped off the scoring with her second goal of the afternoon and the Devils' sixth converting on a penalty stroke to seal the 6-0 victory.

How it HappenedÂ
- The Devils controlled the field from the opening kickoff, with Duffie quickly putting FDU on the board at the 2:56 mark.
- Duffie landed her second goal of the night five minutes later and FDU maintained that score until the end of the half as they extended the gap to 3-0 with a goal from Kotaska, assisted by Gross, to end the first 45 minutes of playÂ
- To open the second half, Rivera took the Devils to a score of 5-0 with back-to-back second half goals with assist coming from Hamouda and DuffieÂ
- Following a Lions yellow card at 65:02, Kotaska converted on the following penalty stroke, finding the back of the net to cap the Devils' scoring with their sixth and final goal of the night.

The Devils are on the road as they travel up to Buffalo, NY to face the Buffalo State Bengals this Saturday, September 5. Kickoff is set for 11 AM.Â
