MADISON, N.J. - The FDU-Florham Devils women's soccer team battled undefeated Montclair State but ultimately fell to the Red Hawks, 2-1 

 
Devils Highlights 

• Devils' keeper Italia Penevolpe totaled 90 minutes defending the goal, facing 15 shots and notching 12 saves 
• Selena Rivera put FDU on the board in the first half with Riley Northridge assisting her in the opening goal 

How it Happened 

• After a Red Hawk throw in, the Devils gained possession as Rivera opened scoring in the first half at the 22:57 minute mark with a shot off Northridge's assist  
• Montclair State was held scoreless in the first half as the Devils carried a 1-0 lead into halftime 
• The Red Hawks were able to tie up the game early in the second quarter and took the lead at the 83:54 time stamp to take home a 2-1 win

The Devils will travel to Reading, PA to take on Penn State Berks Monday, September 21. Kick-off is set for 7 PM.
