MADISON, N.J. – The FDU-Florham baseball team get back on track with a big conference win against Delaware Valley Friday afternoon.

  • Junior Trenon Stanard earns his second win of the year from the pen, throwing 5 1/3 scoreless innings while giving up five hits and striking out three.
How It Happened
  • Trailing 1-0 for the first three innings of the game, the Devils exploded onto the scene in the bottom of the fourth. After a leadoff single from junior John Rolli, Diaz sent a shot over the right center fence to put the team on top 2-1. RBI from junior Tommy Sica, first year Christian Zamrok and senior Nicholas Colbert saw the lead against the Aggies grow to 7-1 by the end of the inning.
  • The offense would pad the lead once again in the bottom of the seventh. With two quick outs to lead off the inning, Diaz once again starts the team with a single to right field. Two more singles off the bats of senior Ryan Johnston and Longo score Diaz and bring the score to 8-1. A huge single to right center delivered by Ganca brought in Johnston and Longo and the team extended the lead to 10-1.
  • The day wasn't over for the Devils as they tacked on two more in the bottom of the eighth inning to make the game 13-1. RBI from Rolli, Longo, and Ganca gave the team a comfortable 12 run lead going into the final inning. Junior Evan Sabo came in to pitch the top of the ninth and shut the door on the Aggies, giving the Devils the edge in the three-game series.
