- The Blue Jays quickly responded with a goal of their own at 13:14 to even the score 1-1
- Junior attack, Mellon, scored her first 2 goals for the Devils within 2 minutes of each other, the first being assisted by Medina
- Saint Joseph's went to outscore FDU for the remainder of the first, leading 5-3 to end the quarter
