MADISON, N.J. - The FDU-Florham Devils women's soccer team finished their match-up with the Marywood Pacers on top as Leila Duffie scored the game winning goal

Devils Highlights

  • Teagan Jones opened up scoring with a Devils goal in the first half, assisted by Riley Northridge
  • Duffie netted the game-winning goal to secure the 2-1 FDU victory
  • Lauren Kurzynowski recorded five saves across 90 minutes in goal

How it Happened

  • 34 minutes into the scoreless first half, Northridge made a play as she maintained possession through the Pacers' defense before passing the ball up to Jones, who beat a Marywood defender to the ball and slotted it past the keep for early 1-0 lead
  • The competitive match-up continued into the second half, with FDU battling to stay ahead of the Pacers
  • Marywood evened the score, 1-1, with less than 10 minutes remaining in regulation
  • With just five minutes on the clock, Mackenzie Ferrara sent a cross to meet Duffie at the top of the box, who buried the game-winning goal to put the Devils back on top
