MADISON, N.J. – The FDU-Florham Devils women's soccer team hosted Farmingdale State this Saturday afternoon. After a thrilling game, the Devils came out on top defeating the Rams 4-3. This marks Kristin Giotta's 200th win as head women's soccer coach.

Devils Highlights

  • First year Mackenzie Ferrara made her mark by scoring the game winning goal as the first goal of her collegiate career

  • Senior Emma Letizia and first year Teagan Jones contributed to the Devils win as they each assisted Nolan and Ferrara for their goals

  • Senior goalkeeper Ava Gianni notched 5 saves during her 60:00 in the net

How it Happened

  • As the Rams led 1-0, at the 20:00 minute mark of the first half Letizia passed the ball to Nolan from the top corner of the field where she received it at the 10' and shot it past the Farmingdale State goalie to put FDU on the board

  • The Devils were awarded a penalty kick after a foul on Letizia at the 41:08 time stamp in the second half. Nolan took the opportunity for FDU and scored her second, putting the game at a 1 goal lead

  • Not even ten minutes later, Nolan brought the game to a 3-3 tie as she took a shot from the 23', launching it right past the goalie into the top left corner of the net
