MADISON, N.J. – The FDU-Florham Devils women's basketball team defeated the Stockton Ospreys, 64-62, in a close overtime battle.

How it Happened
- In the first period, the Devils got an early lead over the Ospreys, opening with a 7-4 scoring run
- Points from Tighe, Sode, Centeno, and Clancy brought FDU to a 20-12 lead to start the second period
- Offensive efforts from Stockton took them to a 2-point deficit of FDU, but it was not enough for the Ospreys to take the lead
- The Devils kept ahead of the Ospreys with baskets from Clancy, Walker, Mellon, and Centeno to end the second period, 30-29
- After the half, both teams went basket for basket with Stockton taking the lead for the first time at the 8:28 minute mark
- A made free-throw from Centeno and a three-pointer from Tighe put FDU at a 4-point lead
- Stockton closed in during the final minutes of the third period to even the score to 42-42
- The close battle continued throughout the final period with Stockton up by 2 with 1:29 remaining of game play
- Tighe finished out the fourth period with a layup pushing the game into overtime
- The Devils and Ospreys fought until the very end in OT, going back-and-forth for the lead until the 1:23 time stamp as they were tied 61-61
- Made free-throws from Chapman and Sode closed out the game and secured the Devils 64-62 victory
