CAMDEN, N.J. – The FDU-Florham women's soccer team played a hard-fought match against Rutgers-Camden Wednesday night and came away with a 1-1 draw on the road. 

DEVILS HIGHLIGHTS

• Sophomore forward Anna Kotaska netted the lone goal for the Devils.
• Alanna Bishop aided Kotaska's goal with her first assist of the season.
• Goalkeeper Ava Gianni allowed just one goal and made five saves.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• All the night's scoring happened in the nine minutes of the first half as Kotaska found the back of the Rutgers-Camden goal in the 37' on an assist from Bishop for her second goal of the season to put the Devils up 1-0. 
• Then in the 44', after a Devils foul Rutgers-Camden's Meghan Gorman knotted the match at 1-1.
• The FDU defense held strong in the second half despite being outshot 5-3 in the second 45:00 of action. Gianni made two saves in the half to preserve the draw for the Devils. 

GAME NOTES

• Wednesday's draw was only the second of the year for the Devils and the sixth for the Scarlet Raptors. 
• It was the ninth time this season Gianni has made five or more saves in a match.

UP NEXT
The Devils return to action on Saturday, Oct. 11 as FDU hosts King's College in a MAC Freedom match-up. Kick-off is set for noon.
