Dallas, PA (August 30) – The FDU-Florham men's cross-country team opened its 2024 season on Friday evening, August 30. The Devils were among 11 teams that competed and finished in eighth place with seven runners competing for the Devils. This was the first time since the 2021 season a team score has been able to be recorded for the Devils.
As a team, Dickinson won the meet with 25 points with Marywood taking second place with 53 points. Host Misericordia claimed third place with 75 total points.
FDU-Florham's top finisher was Junior
Emmanuel Torode (Roxbury, NJ), who crossed the line in a time of 14:20.50 for 40th place overall. First-year
Evan McGinnity placed just a few runners back in 45th place with a time of 15:11.70 and classmate
Luke Passarelli (Brick, NJ) followed behind in 46th place and eight seconds later, 15:19.60.
In the middle of the pack was sophomore
Nathaniel Perrelli ( Fanwood, NJ), as he crossed the line with a time of 16:21.70 for 52nd place.
Beckett Burcat (Basking Ridge, NJ) claimed the final points for FDU-Florham as he finished in 54th place, with a time of 16:33.70.
Also running for the Devils was
Shane Breedlove (Richmond, VA) who clocked a time of 16:46.40 and a placement of 55th overall.
Jason Nonnenmacher was the final runner for the Devils to cross the line and recorded a time of 19:05.90 for 57th place.
FDU-Florham will return to the course on Saturday, September 14 at the Osprey Open which will be hosted by Stockton University, with a 10:30 am start.
