New Tripoli, Pa. (April 27-28)- The FDU-Florham men's golf team competed in the MAC Championship this weekend and placed sixth overall out of eight teams competing at Olde Homestead Golf Course. The team placed sixth of eight teams with a total score of 714 (354 & 360).
Stevens was crowned the 2024 MAC Freedom Champions with a team score of 618. Andrew Saglimbeni from DeSales was the MAC Freedom Individual Champion and was named Golfer of the Year after he scored a 147 (+3).
Aidan Newman (Gainsville, Fla.) was the top golfer for the Devils at MAC's. He tied for the 13
th place with a total of 163 (+19) through the two days. He shot an 82 on day one and came back lowered his score by one with an 81.
Connor Dillon (Waldwick, N.J.) was tied for 23
rd with a total score of 169. Saturday, he shot an 81 and shot an 88 on day two.
Dominic Aquilio (Basking Ridge, N.J.) finished his weekend as they third best Devil and tied for 31
st at the event. He completed his first day with his best score of the season with a 91. Day two he finished his round with a score of 97 that gave him a 188 total.
Joseph O'Leary (Washington, N.J.) finished his first MAC Freedom Championship with a total score of 195 that was good for 33
rd in the final standings. On day one, he shot a 100 but was able to improve his score by five on day two with a score of 95.
Vincent Ferrigno (Marlboro, N.J.) finished off the lineup for FDU with a total score of 197 that placed him tied for 37
th at the event. He scored a 101 on day one but was able to come back on day two and improve his score by five strokes when he shot a 96.
