Buckingham, PA (October 7)- The FDU-Florham Men's Golf team (1-0) traveled to MAC Freedom opponent Delaware Valley (0-1) for their final match of the fall season and was able to capture the 330-339 win over the Aggies for their first dual win.
Despite not taking the top spot on the leader board, FDU-Florham was able to claim the 2nd to 7th overall placements to help secure the win. The Devils saw
Aidan Newman (Gainesville, Fla.) just one stroke shy of tying his best score this season with a 81 (+9) for second place tie.
Trent Fischer followed suit with a 82 (+10) for his best performance of the season.
Claiming fifth place with a 83 (+11) score on the day was
Connor Dillon (Waldwick, NJ), who was followed by
Aiden Markey and
Connor Flanagan who produced a 84 (+12) and a 87 (+85) for sixth and seventh place.
Sophomore
Joseph O'Leary (Washington, NJ) was seen in the middle of the leader board after swinging for a score of 92 (+20) for a two-way tie for eleventh place.
Mario Lamperti (Parsippany, NJ) placed himself two strokes behind his teammate with a 94 (+22) for 13th overall and
James Zingaro (Stratford, NJ) closed the dual match in 16th place with a 104 (+32).
FDU-Florham will look ahead to the Spring season for their next match.
