Wilkes-Barre, Pa. (October 26) - FDU-Florham Women's Soccer Junior, Ava Gianni (North Brunswick, NJ), earned Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom Defensive Player of the week for her performance against DeSales and King's (PA). 
  
Gianni put together a total of seven saves against DeSales and King's during this past weeks matches. A total of 16 shots were taken in her way but Gianni only allowed 2 during their match versus the Bulldogs and none during the game against the Monarch's, resulting in a 3-0 shutout win this past weekend. Gianni's efforts helped in earning the Devils their first conference win of the season.  

  
This is Gianni's second career MAC Freedom Player of the Week honor. 
  
Women's Soccer will be finishing out their season this coming weekend.
