Union, NJ (September 6) – The FDU-Florham women's soccer team was tripped up by Kean, 2-1, in the final three minutes of a Wednesday evening non-conference match.

The match was off to a slow start as neither team could land the ball past the goal line in the first 30 minutes of play. Kean's Anabel Makutonin was the first player to introduce the ball to net, at the 31:42-minute mark.
The Devils were able to strike 12 minutes into the second half as
Ashley Dietrich (Middletown, NJ) fed Junior
Madison Kleinwaks (Boonton, NJ) a pass that led to the Devils lone goal of the night.
Defense prevailed on both sides as the game came down to the final three minutes. Unfortunately, Kean was able to find an opening and knock in the game winning goal to defeat the Devils, 2-1.
Senior goalkeeper
Erica Blackburn (Marlboro, NJ) gave a valiant effort as she made 9 saves on facing 21 shots in tonight's contest.
The Devils' next game will be on Saturday, September 9 at 12pm. They are set to host William Paterson for a non-conference matchup on Robert T. Shields Field.
