Madison, NJ (September 11) – The FDU-Florham women's soccer team shut out Sarah Lawrence, 5-0, in non-conference action on Monday evening. Multiple different Devils scored in tonight's match as well as many first-year student athletes recording their first stats.

Records: FDU (2-1-1); Sarah Lawrence (2-1)
Location: Robert T. Shields (Madison, NJ)
FDU Goal Scorers: Ashley Dietrich (6, 7), Ashleigh Frankel (1), Reanna Garrett (1)

FDU-Florham's first goal did not come off the foot of a devil, but by a Sarah Lawrence player, who scored an own goal to give the Devils an early 1-0, 10 minutes into the match. The initial pass came from Ashley Dietrich (Middletown, NJ) and was intended for teammate Mia Lopez (Rockaway, NJ).

In the 34th minute of the match, Dietrich was able to record a goal for the match and her sixth of the season. Ashleigh Frankel ( Branchburg, NJ) followed with her first goal of the season just three minutes into the second half.

For her second goal of the game, Dietrich weaved her way through the defender and sent to ball past the goalie for the Devils fourth goal of the match in the 70th minute.

The Devils last goal was scored at the 75-minute mark, by First year Reanna Garrett (Piscataway, NJ) for her first collegiate goal. Her pass came after Heather Riess (Edison, NJ) made her defender dizzy on the left side and sent the ball to the middle. FDU-Florham emerged victories with a 5-0 win.

Erica Blackburn (Marlboro, NJ) was only forced to make one save, as she played through 80 minutes of the match. Sophomore Ava Gianni (North Brunswick, NJ) was seen in the last 10 minutes and recorded her first save of the season.

FDU-Florham will travel to Allentown, PA for a 7pm match against Muhlenberg on Wednesday, September 13.
