Dallas, Pa. (September 16) – The Fairleigh Dickinson University men's golf team got a preview of the course where the 2022 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championship will be held yesterday as the Devils played in a dual match with Wilkes University at Huntsville Golf Club.
Wilkes topped FDU by a final score of 333-357.
Sophomore
Vinny Dasaro (Vernon, NJ) registered the lowest score of the day between both teams as he was a medalist for the first time in his career with a 77 (+5). His score tied his career low and his round was highlighted by birdies on the first hole, a 482-yard par 5 and a 415-yard par 4. In addition, Dasaro birdied the 503-yard par 5, 12th hole.
Senior
Ben Tetzlaff (Allentown, Pa.) finished second for the Devils and sixth overall in the field of ten student-athletes with his score of 89 (+17). The highlight of his round was a birdie on the 159-yard par 3, 17th hole.
In third place for FDU was first-year
Ryan Mylod (Oak Ridge, NJ), who registered a score of 95 (+23), in fourth was graduate student
Connor Wiedeman (Colts Neck, NJ) with a score of 96 (+24) and in fifth was first-year
Brian Nichols (Roxbury, NJ) in fifth with a score of 108 (+36).
Up next, the Devils will host their Fall Invitational on Monday, September 20 at 1:00 pm. The tournament will take place at Mendham Golf & Tennis Club in Mendham, NJ.
