FREDERICK, MD (April 3, 2021)- FDU Women's Lacrosse traveled to Hood College on Saturday afternoon for a non-conference matchup and running away with a 21-6 victory.
First Half
FDU scored 11 goals in the first half with runs of four anf six straight goals. sophomore
Kylee Garcia netted three of the games first four goals and first-year
Katie Walsh added on. After a 4-0 lead, Hood got on the board. Garcia responded with her fourth of the half, before the Blazers caught some fire. At 5-1, Hood scored three straight goals and cutting the Devils lead to one, 5-4. That was the closest it would be all game, as the six goal run came from FDU to end the half. Aubrey Hunter added one. the Devils held an 11-4 advantage at the break.
Second Half
Much of the same continued for FDU as they outscored the Blazers 10-2 in the second half of play to complete the 21-6 victory.
Goal Machine
Garcia had another outstanding game for the Devils, finishing with six goals, three assists and nine shots on goal, while Walsh also added six goals and two assists on seven shots on goal.
