MADISON, NJ (April 24, 2021)- FDU Women's Lacrosse hosted Albright college in their final regular season game on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Lions, 16-14. With the victory, the Devils complete the first undefeated regular season in program history, finishing 13-0.
 
First Half 
Sophomore 
Kylee Garcia opened the scoring early, netting a goal under 30-seconds into the contest. Albright responded with a run, scoring three straight goals over a seven-minute span to grab a 3-1 lead. The Devils had the answer with three straight of their own off the sticks of first year 
Katie Walsh, senior 
Olivia Chaoush, off the dish from Walsh, and Gracia with her second. Back and forth the contest went, with the Lions jabbing back to tie the game 4-4 at 15:36. Garcia added her third at the 14:12 mark and Walsh followed with her second at 13:40, increasing the FDU advantage to 6-4. Albright cut the lead to one with under 13-minutes left in the frame, before the Devils put their foots on the gas.
 
FDU scored six straight goals to end the first half, three more from Garcia and Walsh, including Walsh netting her fifth with two seconds on the clock. The Devils held an 11-6 halftime advantage.
 
Second Half
Albright scored their sixth of the game at 26:35 of the second half, and Garcia responded less than a minute later to regain the six-goal lead, 12-6. The Lions found their stride, scoring five straight goals in a six-minute span, cutting the FDU lead to one, 12-11. Garcia stopped the run with another goal at 14:20, but again the Lions bounced back and netted one of their own at 13:05. With the score 13-12, Walsh netted a goal off the assist from fellow first year, 
Aubrey Hunter and Chaoush followed two-minutes later with her second giving the Devils a 15-12 lead. Albright added two more and FDU added one off the stick of Chaoush, finishing the undefeated regular season, 16-14.
 
Crazy 8's
Garcia's stick was hot, scoring 8 goals to lead the team in scoring. Walsh finished with 8 points (5 g, 3a), 8 shots and 8 ground balls.
 
Causing Turnovers
Walsh finished the day with four and senior 
Hannah Bhend recorded three. As a team, FDU caused 10 Lion turnovers.
 
Undefeated
For the first time in program history, FDU Women's Lacrosse finishes the regular season with a perfect record. Prior to this season, the most losses in a season came in 2008 when the program finished 16-3.
